Kelly's extensive volunteer work with various organisations in Derbyshire has significantly impacted young people at risk of exploitation and homelessness. Notably, her meaningful placement in India showcased her dedication, earning her the prestigious Youth Work Volunteer of the Year award in 2020.

With a robust background in leadership and management across both statutory and charitable organisations, Kelly has effectively addressed critical issues in education, youth justice, child protection, prisons, and adoption. She has successfully led impactful programs like “NHS Cadets” and “Youth Violence Is Everyone’s Business,” helping young people achieve national awards for their contributions.

Passionate about advocating for youth work, Kelly highlights its vital role within organisations and the community. She is a strong champion of children’s rights, empowering young people to express their views and recognising their capacity to drive meaningful change.

Driven by her journey, she focuses on marginalized individuals who often fall outside typical support criteria. Kelly noted, “I have always felt constrained and envisioned something greater. With my lived experience and professional background, I decided it was time to step away from my current role and establish this CIC in Derbyshire, naming it ‘Evolve’—inspired by my passion for aiding young people in the salon.”

Kelly is eager for the future of Evolve and looks forward to embarking on new journeys together.
